Measurement of effective Diameter by two wire Method

Aim:-

To Measure and Analyze the Effective Diameter by Two wire Method.

Apparatus used:-

Floating carriage micrometer, fiducial indicator, two wire, prism, micrometer with anvil

STEP 1

Click on the standard setting cylinder and drag to the anvil position

(then click verify button)

STEP 2

Click master cylinder, then submit and note the Micrometer reading value Rs.

For measuring R1
Master cylinder:

STEP 3

Click on the thread gauge for measurement and drag to the anvil position.

STEP 4

Select the thread gauge and click submit button to note down micrometer reading R2 (for threaded gauge).

STEP 5

Apply prism on either side of the thread gauge and fix on the anvil. Click the submit button. Minor dia = D-(R~R0)
